SmartFile’s technology is designed for large enterprise organizations that are in highly regulated industries such as finance, energy and government. As our technology has matured, so has the need to meet our clients’ governance and compliance standards. The Governance and Compliance Analyst will be responsible for helping to create policies and procedures for these customers.
The best candidate will have experience in both the compliance and governance fields. They will be able to define, create and manage compliance practices for some of the largest brands in the world. Great written and verbal skills are a must. This candidate will also be working with our clients’ compliance departments in the pre-sale and contract portion of the sales cycle.

*.Drive the creation of policies, procedures and standards for clients of SmartFile pertaining to their internal and external files.
*.Prepare SmartFile for compliance audits around regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, SOX, or SAS 70.
*.Design, develop and maintain tools to conduct internal audits and produce reports around compliance readiness
*.Collaborate with customers, external agencies and auditors about risk and compliance initiatives
*.Develop training and communication plans for SmartFile clients to internally market strategies, projects, company objectives and reinforce policies
*.Proven experience with enterprise compliance, governance and risk management initiatives
*.Ability to develop applications or scripts to facilitate automation and reporting efforts
*.Experience creating and delivering training to facilitate security awareness and compliance requirements
*.Strong proficiency in written and spoken English, including public speaking skills
*.Ability to travel if needed
*.Experience assessing and managing vendor and third-party risk
*.Experience with healthcare, technology and/or financial services privacy and security requirements
*.Willingness to conduct research, write white papers and present technical content at local events and conferences on behalf of SmartFile..
