EU Transportation Procurement Manager | Amazon UK - Luxembourg

Job Details:
EU Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to develop world class strategic partnerships with Amazon’s key logistics providers. The role requires working with internal and external business teams to develop solutions that optimize our inbound transportation network by improving the cost structure, service levels and quality of the program.
The position will be responsible for negotiating; developing business cases and managing projects from design to production. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with internal and external resources to identify areas for improvements and develop metrics to monitor European Transportation performance. Ability to create models/ tools for profitability-analysis to measure and improve the cost structure by carrier, product group and program is a must.

Our environment is deadline driven, fast paced, and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable interacting and working with multiple teams (business and technical).
Basic Qualifications
*.Completed Bachelor’s degree in: Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering, Logistics or similar field or 2+ years of Amazon experience
*.3+ years of experience managing cross-functional programs of more than $100MM and involving 10 or more internal/external customers
*.2+ years of experience developing and/or managing procurement contracts including collaborative gain share agreement
*.2+ years of experience managing Transportation operations in any of the areas of: Domestic, TL, LTL and Small Parcel carriers
*.2+ years of Retail experience
*.Ability to travel up to 25% time to various facilities in the Amazon network
*.Fluency in English is required
Preferred Qualifications
*.MBA preferred
*.Procurement qualifications are preferred
*.Experience in using SQL and databases in a business environment
*.Six Sigma Greenbelt/Black belt and understanding of Lean Engineering processes
*.Financial background is a plus
*.Fluency in German, French, or other European languages..
