ArdentMC is actively seeking a talented IT Program Manager to join our growing team in Washington, DC.
Clearance Requirements
Active Top Secret clearance and applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Accordingly, start date will be contingent hire on Entry on Duty (EOD) approval.
The IT Program Manager is responsible for providing expert consulting services while overseeing technical project execution activities for Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The position requires strong experience in project management, and a strong working knowledge of IT Systems. Specifically, the IT PM will lead a situational awareness system supporting National Operations. The IT PM will work in a fast paced, high visibility client environment.
Position Requirements
7 - 10 years of IT services experience with explicit project management experience
Bachelor degree or equivalent required
An understanding of different system configurations (both hardware, software and networking) that support solid design
An understanding of best practices with respect to IT software and systems implementation (Agile)
Proactive problem solving, and the ability to work autonomously
Effective Verbal and Written Communications Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, Visio, Excel and Project
Attention to detail
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
Active Top Secret clearance required
Desired Skills & Experience
PMP Certification preferred
DHS badge preferred
Role and Responsibilities
The Program Manager serves as the Product Owner, works with Solution Architect(s) and Scrum Master, leads the project team through IT lifecycle (from requirements, development, testing, and deployment) and works with Program Director on project control (cost/schedule/resources).
Responsible for managing assigned staff resources to include Requirements/Business Analyst, Tester, Technical Architect, and Scrum Master. Must be able to work with remote staff.
Experience with Agile development practices and Agile project management
Manage the implementation of technical requirements and project deliverables to include workflows/wireframes, architectures (software and infrastructure), using tools such as TeamPulse/MS Project/Visio
IT Program Manager must have experience managing, directing, and implementing projects using modern web technologies – JavaScript, .NET MVC/HTML5, Web API/web services, mobile capabilities are some examples of our technologies.
Experience in managing a diverse group of functional activities, subordinate groups of technical and administrative personnel
Work with client decision makers on particular systems designs within the confines of client-mandated policies and governance
Interaction with clients to elicit functional and system requirements
Travel to other offices as requested
Travel to client site, tradeshows, conferences as requested..
