Job Details:
Review supplier submissions of part numbers to cross reference which tools are eligible for scrap
Maintain records of projects in process and projects completed – update Vendor Tooling Database and Master Spreadsheet. Provide monthly metrics for Business Plan Deployment (BPD) reviews
Work independently with decisions made based on established policies and procedures
Frequent collaboration with outside suppliers - to clarify submission, collect required documentation, etc.
Create Asset Disposal (AD) in Asset Recovery System (Fixed Assets)
Generate Scrap Bid Request – collect bids and award scrap contract
Provide training in GM Tool Scrap Process – to suppliers and buyers as requested
Provide tool scrap disposal details to Financial counterparts so that property tax records can be updated
Initiate proactive tool disposal requests – GM Metal Centers, CCA Tool Warehouses, and from CCA quarterly part number deletions
Continue to drive process improvements to streamline and improve overall process, improve supplier relationships
·-Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Access – High level preferred
·-Strong communication skills. Will be communicating with suppliers & other departments of GM
·-Ability to work effectively with others, cross-functionally and cross-culturally
·-Self-Starter – ability to pick up a task and run with it
·-Ability to multitask by handling various assignments concurrently
·-Past GM work experience preferred – Entry level
·-GM Mainframe (IMS) experience is a bonus
Required Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses
·-University Diploma
·-Fluent English
