Job Details:
*.Master Production Scheduling (MPS):
Executes the short-term aspects of the Master Production Schedule.
Leads/participates in weekly LST meetings and manages the execution of the short term (1 day to 1 month time horizon) Master Production Schedule.
*.Reviews MRP (Materials Resource Planning) exception messages within the planning time fence and resolves or escalates supply/demand imbalances as appropriate.
*.Communicates to the production facilities the short term MPS, changes to the MPS, and monthly Period/Purchase orders.
Works with the SCPS to determine the sequencing and timing of the production schedule in addition to the feasibility of Upside production
Provides input into the development of the MPS policy and assists in implementing MPRII Work Processes to achieve and maintain Class A performance
*.Maintains defined MPS metrics and participates in RCCA as appropriate
*.Manages the SAP Material Master Data to ensure realistic generation of requisitions in SAP.
*.Works with DRP Planners as needed to resolve short term supply/demand imbalances
*.Performs formal RCI as needed for Production and Material Planning Issues that meet the DAS RCI Trigger criteria
Material Planning:
*.Provides plant specific Material Planning guidance to Material Schedulers located in the Business Process Services Center (BPSC) and is the first point of contact for all raw material and packaging issues.
*.Works with the production facility, DAS Purchasing, MSCM, and Strategic Sourcing Managers to identify and manage complex raw material supply chains.
*.Entering and tracking purchase orders that are Imported by working with Supplier, DAS Import Specialist, BDP, and our trucking and storage facilities o Management of purchase orders needing to be repacked prior to being delivered to the Production Facility
*.Participates in M&ISC Projects as the Material Planning representative and Leads Projects as needed
*.Performs “Sweeper Role” for Material Scheduling activities by reviewing RAWM/PKG Exceptions and escalating material planning issues that have the potential of jeopardizing the Master Production Schedule.
*.Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly activities are operating as per the Materials Planning Work Process documentation Primary
*.Responsibilities (Continued) SAP Data Accuracy – Inventory:
Perform periodic physical audits of inventory and data recording processes at contractor sites.
*.Reconcile SAP inventory to physical inventory during the Month End Close or Cycle Counting process.
*.Perform production posting, goods issue, goods receipts, & adjustments as needed to ensure accurate inventory during the Month End Closing process.
*.Review raw material and packaging inventories for inventory reduction opportunities.
*.Manage slow moving and obsolete inventory at assigned plant or group of plants
*.Main Challenges Typical Issues:
Managing and communicating production changes in the frozen zone to minimize the impact upstream and downstream of the MPS.
*.Raw Material management based on formulation requirement, supplier availability, lead-time, and plant need
*.Consistently maintaining inventory accuracy to drive correct raw material and packaging requirements to achieve a feasible short term
*.MPS Most Complex Challenges:
Frequent changes in the frozen zone require the ability to problem solve and analyze production impact to supply/demand while being cognizant of Material Planning constraints Expected Results
Update and maintain accuracy of production schedule in SAP to facilitate Materials Resource Planning and Available to Promise to meet customer expectations...
