Operations Controller Service Logistics | Etihad Airways - UAE

Job Details:
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: *. To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Service Logistics Department comprising of; assembly and final checks of all goods required to conduct catering service of an aircraft, aircraft loading/offloading, vehicle movements both airside and landside, customer hand over and final sign off for goods and services provided and customer liaisons all in compliance with company policies standards and procedures, ensuring OTP at all times. *. Develop and improve work methods and systems, increasing productivity, efficiency, quality, safety and service utilizing space and labor within all areas. *. Ensure that the department operates within budgetary constraints in terms of payroll, capital expenditure and operational expenditure whilst meeting all department key performance indicators. *. Evaluate staff performance and recommend appraisals, termination, renewal, and promotions, in due time in order to determine required training needs. *. Continuously improve the performance of the department by means of audits, checks and briefings ensuring cost, quality, service, safety and compliance. *. Coach, guide and provide informal / formal feedback to the staff to support skills development and improve service. *. To achieve set objectives of the department by making optimum use of manpower, facilities and other resources to meet customers and in-house demands, during normal and peak operations. *. To ensure all vehicle operators adhere to company, Airport and local regulations, policies and procedures. *. Actively seek to reduce the risk of accidents and incidents by means of monitoring, auditing, checks and training.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: *. Strategy Implement the Function/Department strategy to ensure alignment with Company strategy. *.Policies and procedures Execute relevant policies, processes and procedures and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner. *.Day-to-Day Operations Accomplish day-to-day operations by providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards. *.People Development Manage the effective achievement of objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize performance. *.Safety, Quality & Environment Comply with all relevant safety, security, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
