Job Details:
This role will require an individual with experience in the startup and running of the Purchasing department in an organization who will be required to manage existing relationships and lead the procurement operations alongside their leading suppliers in the Middle East.
Responsibilities
You will be tasked with forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels whilst conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality. It is expected that you will liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers; and identify potential suppliers, visit existing suppliers, and build and maintain strong relationships with them. Other responsibilities include negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided and processing payments and invoices, as well as developing the organization’s purchasing strategy.
Skills
• The ideal candidate would preferably have experience in setting up a purchasing department in established organizations
• Experience within purchasing/procurement in the automotive industry desired
• Arabic speaking preferred..
