The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service by establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships with dedicated customers, sales teams, and the internal supply chain and operations team. The Customer Service Representative will lead the order-to-delivery process for our customers. Your proactive approach and sense of urgency will have the potential to build long-term business growth and profitability. Along the way, all of our activities are managed in accordance with the company's foundational goals of safety and compliance.
This is a highly interactive position with peers in many other disciplines of the business. In this role you will get exposure and visibility to all departments within the company, providing a wide range of promotional opportunities for those who are flexible and have the drive and initiative to succeed.
To qualify for this position, you will demonstrate the following requirements:
* Associate degree, Bachelor degree preferred
* Prior customer service or sales support experience in a business to business (B2B) environment. Experience in a distribution or chemicals/plastics/environmental services or waste management environment a plus
* Proficiency with the MS Office package
* Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience, SAP preferred
* Salesforce.com experience a plus
* Have demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, high volume, collaborative environment
* Proven ability to prioritize, investigate root causes and escalate issues
* Comfortable making autonomous decisions with guidelines
