Aon Is Looking For An Analyst supporting our Business Development Team
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Business Development group within Aon Risk Solutions, in Indianapolis, IN. As a New Business Analyst, you will report directly to the Resident Managing Director.
Your Impact As A New Business Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
· Work with the Resident Managing Director and National Sales Ops to identify the appropriate new business initiatives to activate in the local office, primarily with the producers and account executives. This can encompass selected industry verticals, product segments, or market segment strategies enacted by the local office (the “New Business Plays”)
· Consult with product and practice groups to identify targeted industry verticals and in targeted product segments
· Work with National and Regional Marketing to implement “go to market” strategy to support the New Business Plays based on identified products and industries
· Strategize with sales team and account executives to develop prospect identification and client penetration strategies
· Assign all leads obtained through marketing activities, including immediate direct follow up with qualified leads to determine opportunity status.
· Research prospects and clients, using analyst reports, SEC reports, Yahoo! Finance, and related sources of information, to identify potential new business opportunities and develop prospect- and client-specific risk profile information
· To supplement the NBA’s reports, the NBA will partner with the Aon Global Sales & Marketing Support team (“GSMS”) to obtain prospect-, client-, and industry-specific reports. The reports are to be requested only on an as needed basis
· Identify target lists for the various New Business Plays and populate into Salesforce.com (“SFDC”)
· Utilize Local Market Planning data to develop a strategy to identify new business priorities and opportunities
· Creative, effective use of Microsoft Office (version 2003, 2007 and/or 2010) applications for the production of client deliverables from short letters and summaries to longer Request For Proposals (RFP) responses.
· Ability to bring creativity and “out of the box” thinking to bare on client and prospect deliverable creation
You Bring Knowledge and Expertise
Required Experience:
· Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.). Familiarity with sales and marketing systems such as Salesforce and Eloqua are helpful.
· Financial research experience and / or related formal training.
