Brand Manager | Red Bull- Tokyo, Japan

Job Details:
The Brand Manager is responsible for understanding and gathering consumer insights and market research, specifically what drives TOM awareness, brand salience and per capita consumption. Working closely with the Marketing Manager to contribute to the annual business plan by creating, planning and executing brand initiatives, new products and packaging whilst ensuring the brand is portrayed in the right way.
Key Responsibilities
1. Consumer Insights and Market Research
a) Turn data into compelling insights which are actionable and relevant, and ensure these insights are addressed through adequate ideas and plans
2. Brand Management
a) Train and support marketing peers as well as on/off premise and trade marketing with their projects
b) Support the Marketing Manager conducting impromptu brand training
c) Collaborate & ensure synergy on any trade/marketing initiatives
d) Build and provide training on new cross-functional tools, such as sales/marketing programs or trade marketing
e) Work closely with the Marketing Manager, regional team and International HQ specialists to share learnings, best practices, align plans, share latest updates and insights
f) Continually re-apply successful models
g) Instigate and participate in creative sessions to develop tactics and assess best practice case studies
3. Advertising and Creative
a) Create branding and communication for specific marketing projects in strong collaboration with the respective marketing functions
b) Develop and implement the ideal advertising plan ensuring international and local learnings, taking best practices in to consideration
c) Control creative and media agencies to ensure correct contractual set-up and strong working relationships to deliver world class creative output
d) Manage the media agency with prudence, to ensure a best possible value-for-money advertising plan
e) Annually review media planning and buying with the agency and international
4. Product and Packaging Innovation
a) Lead and manage solid product launches together with sales, finance and other marketing functions and act as the key contact for Red Bull HQ
b) Understand which packaging solution addresses country specific needs, as well as lead and manage the launch proposal
c) Collect all learnings to share locally and with International HQ
5. General Management
a) Support the Marketing Manager to develop and implement the annual business plan
b) Prepare, together with the Marketing Manager, the annual plan and financial budgets/P&L in co-operation with the marketing and sales team.
c) Manage and maintain the agreed budget
Key Results and Deliverables
a) Achievement of agreed individual annual objectives
b) Deliver the brand part of the business plan
c) Sustain or strengthen the brand part of the trial and awareness study; past 4 week/12 month consumption, TOM awareness and brand salience
d) Successful execution of product and packaging launches
a) Build a strong, transparent, trusty partnership and cooperation with management and personnel
b) Strengthen agency service & client/agency relationships.
