Job Details:
Identifies improperly functioning parts for repair or
replacement using on-board computer diagnostic systems and other
test equipment. Determine whether parts should be cleaned or
replaced. Install, adjust and set automotive systems in
accordance with manufacturer's specifications and tests the
completed product.
Skill and Knowledge: Knowledge of the various techniques for
removing, replacing, cleaning and installing parts and
components. Skill to make adjustments and settings and in the
operation of tools and equipment used. Understanding of
diagnostic and test equipment; the make-up and operation of
systems and their interrelationship.
Responsibility: Decides on the methods and techniques to use.
Supervisor is available for assistance with unusual problems.
Work is reviewed in terms of results obtained.
Physical Effort: Stands and works in uncomfortable positions for
extended periods. Frequently lifts objects weighing up to 70
pounds.
Working Conditions: Work areas are dirty, oily and greasy.
Constantly exposed to cuts, bruises and vehicle fluids which may
cause burns or irritate the skin.

Candidates must:
1. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 70 pounds
2. Possess a. valid motor vehicle operators permit
3. Have work experience performing the identified duties.
4. Be able to work independently
HIGHLY PREFERRED: Applicants will possess State Inspection License and Emissions License.
