Job Details:
This role is with the IBM Security Business Unit - Field Technical Sales Specialist and will be focused on the IBM Security Systems capabilities. The candidate will be expected to provide internal and external technical leadership for pre and post sales IBM Security Systems engagements. Sales engagements may be directly or more likely focused through channel business partners. Extensive interlock is required with sales specialists and sales teams to achieve sales targets. The candidate will actively participate in winning IBM Software solution opportunities by shaping the industry value proposition; positioning the IBM Security offerings against competitive offerings and assisting the sales team in proposing winning configurations; position the IBM Security Systems Capability to customers, technical, management and executive staff in context of how to use the technology for business advantage and as part of broader IBM Software solutions. It is necessary to be technically articulate both orally and in creating written responses/documentation. Typical activities include but are not limited to: • Provide specialized technical sales resources
• Presentations • RFI/RFP Response
• Solution Architecture Design
• Demonstration, Proof of Concept or Proof of Technology including business studies such as Return on Investment analysis
• Technical assessments
• Configurations
• Assistance with a technical sale..
