This role reports to the Group Supply Director
Context/Scope:
EABL is the leading Drinks Company in Eastern Africa with a wide portfolio of products in various categories of beer, spirits, glass, barley, malt and other non-alcoholic drinks. EABL is quoted in all the three East African Stock exchanges and has multiple operations across East Africa.
This role has functional line responsibility to the EABL Head of Group BPM and is a business partner to the Supply functions.
The role has accountability for supporting the delivery of supply projects / business developments in EABL.
A high degree of self-sufficiency is required in this role together with the ability to hold sites to account to deliver initiatives in support of the cost management agenda.
Purpose of role:

To steer & focus the EABL Supply Team to deliver brilliant execution of the cost/quality/service management agenda.
*.
Accountable to translate and outline the EABL Supply Strategy and performance into structured activation programmes to deliver breakthrough results. This will be achieved through:
*.
Design and implementation of a robust project management governance process
*.
Hold site managers accountable to ensure that real value is delivered from the programme to the overall supply center
*.
Extensive stakeholder relationship building & engagement across the Supply operations
Coach project management across the EABL sites and be seen as a subject matter expert for project management.
Market Complexity:

This role will interact with all of the EABL Supply operations :
*.
Malting's
*.
5 Brewing & Packaging sites (including Spirits plants in Kenya & Uganda)
*.
Interactions also required with the wider GB & SCA Supply community in support of sharing & bring to EABL best practices.

The base for the role is in Nairobi & will require the incumbent to travel to and engage with all of the EABL Supply operations across East Africa.
Top Accountabilities:

Leading the cost management agenda as well as other supply projects / business development in EABL.

Develop & roll out effective project management ways of working across the supply centers.
*.
To hold market leaders to account for the performance of their supply chain processes through strong project management governance.
To develop and sustain amazing relationships across the Supply organization.
Qualification & Experience:
*.
University degree and accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA)
*.
MBA or other post-graduate finance qualification would be an added advantage.
*.
At least 5 years’ experience in project management.
*.
Business acumen and detailed understanding of supply manufacturing processes
*.
Well-developed commercial understanding of manufacturing cost levers and the ability to interrogate and diagnose issues from complex commercial data
*.
Proven ability to persuade, strategically influence key stakeholders and build credibility cross the functions.
*.
Flexible to varying demands of the role.
*.
Excellent engagement and communications skills and have proactive, professional approach to work.
*.
Excellent organizational and skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines.
*.
Well-developed IT skills in software packages plus financial modeling skills..
