Project Manager | Standard Chartered Bank- Singapore

Job Details:
*.Build, maintain and actively update project plans for implementation related to the Bank’s Corporate and Institutional (CIB) and Commercial Banking (CB) strategic agenda to drive efficiency and revenue through the use of streamlined processes and technologies
*.Coordinate directly with project workstream leads to determine respective timelines, resources required and dependencies
*.Track and manage prioritisation of business requests for possible future enhancements
*.Maintain projects’ governance functions, preparing PSC packs, managing costs, etc.
*.Support the successful delivery of projects through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting and act as the first point of contact for any project related queries
Key Roles and Responsibilities
*.Develop robust project plans based on direction from relevant Project Managers, challenging their assumptions so as to determine resource constraints and impacts as well dependencies on both internal and external factors
*.Constantly update and maintain project plans based on changing circumstances related to resources, dependencies, budgets, timelines, etc.
*.Track project progress vs. agreed baselines (e.g. delivery, cost and time) and hold Project Managers and Workgroup members to account for any deviations
*.Keep track of resourcing and hiring status of approved headcount
*.Ensure that projects are fit-for-purpose and fit-for-growth
*.Track and manage prioritisation of business requests for possible future enhancements
*.Provide updates on progress, risks and issues
*.Prepare papers with critical analysis and recommendations to support decision making for senior management
*.Conceptualise and prepare strategic frameworks, discussion papers and MIS as required to enable strategic planning and improve management reporting
Qualifications and Skills
*.Driving key projects entails significant complexity and scale in terms of the number of processes, systems and interfaces, countries and stakeholders. With so many moving parts, projects require extremely careful and thorough coordination, the PMO being accountable for the tracking of progress against them and the escalation of any threats to them
*.Expected to be a “critical thinker”, actively demonstrating analytical skills, ingenuity, initiative and sound judgment when it comes to supporting the Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery
*.Strong understanding of technology, in particular new web technologies
*.Strong ability to learn and grow
*.Proven PMO / Project Analyst experience
*.Understanding of common project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, QMF, etc.)
*.Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
*.Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, across various levels in the organization, in influencing key decisions taken in the business and in support teams
*.Acute eye for detail and strong, tenacious personality required to enforce strict governance and standards
*.Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
*.Good knowledge of Bank processes, particularly TB and FM
*.Ability to prioritise, make decisions, and work to tight timeframes
*.Ability to drive through uncertainties and to be respectfully pushy
*.Strong communication skills – oral, written and presentation..
