Market scanning and identification of potential customers;

Desk research - different public information and other sources;
*.
Set up initial contacts;
*.
Understand and articulate the client, client position, prospect and investment pattern, etc.;
*.
Present MM case before client and get convenience on further engagement;
*.
Engage with client team and submit expression of interest showcasing MM case – where necessary;
*.
Receive the inquiry document;
*.
Associate with division management to develop a strategy for bidding and direct engagement;
*.
Coordinate for proposal preparation (and as gain experience, prepare by self) involving back offices;
*.
Evaluate time and cost involvement and pricing model by help of local management (where necessary need to develop cost + pricing model);
*.
Proposal submission and handling pre negotiation discussions;
*.
Commercial negotiation while involving management;
*.
Organising to receive PO / contract and involve for develop an agreement for terms and conditions;
*.
Transfer the work to operations; and
*.
Account management practices.
Candidate Specification
Reporting to the Managing Director for Indonesia and supported directly from the SEAs headquarters Singapore, the person will expect to be actively involved in seeking and winning business in the exciting emerging Indonesian hydropower market. The role requires a confident self-starter with a broad but strong technical grounding, who can work under general direction but with minimum day to day supervision. This role is an important part of the planned development of the hydropower business in the South East Asia region. The potential of the region, especially Indonesia is considerable. The Group is committed to growth in the country and region and is fully supportive of the planned expansion activities.
*.Degree in Engineering (preferable) with 5 years of experience in a similar capacity and in the hydropower industry (preferable);
*.
Should be an Indonesian;
*.
Good understanding of the Indonesian hydropower market;
*.
Contacts with PLN and hydropower operators/developers will of advantage;
*.
Acumen towards business development;
*.
Good in communication (oral, written and be expressive) and grasping, presentable and able to articulate;
*.
Able to coordinate with stake holders – Client, MM team etc.;
*.
Should be able to understand prospect scope and prepare an approach for delivery;
*.
Compile the marketing documents, client submissions, presentation and proposals, talking a lead position;
*.
Preferable with previous experience in managing project(s)/clients;
*.
Should have fair understanding about commercial conditions, contracts and legal issues; and,
*.
Able to communicate to different level in client organisation, etc...
